NACGS Privacy Policy
Last Updated: September 22, 2026
1. Overview and Scope
The National Association of Cruise Group Specialists ("NACGS," "we," "us," or "our") is a professional association for travel advisors specializing in group cruise travel. NACGS is operated by Cruise Lot LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how personal information is collected, used, disclosed, and protected when you use the NACGS website and related services.
This policy applies to the NACGS website and features made available through it, including membership accounts, the member directory, resource library, community groups, blog, events, contact forms, and any learning or certification features offered through the site.
NACGS membership may be integrated with My Cruise Marketplace ("MCM"), also operated by Cruise Lot LLC. Activities performed directly on MCM are subject to MCM's own privacy policy. When account or membership information is shared between NACGS and MCM to provide integrated access, the practices described in this policy apply to NACGS's handling of that information.

5. How We Share Personal Information
We may disclose personal information to service providers and other parties only for legitimate business, operational, legal, or compliance purposes. These parties may include:

We may also disclose information when required by law or legal process; to investigate, prevent, or address fraud, security, or misuse; to protect the rights, property, or safety of NACGS, Cruise Lot LLC, our members, or others; or in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of all or part of our business or assets.
We do not sell personal information for money. However, the use of certain advertising cookies or pixels may be considered a "sale," "sharing," or use for "targeted advertising" under some U.S. state privacy laws. Where those laws apply, you may have the right to opt out as described in Section 9.
6. Membership, Payments, and Public Profiles
Membership accounts
Creating an NACGS account may allow you to access member-only resources, join community groups, participate in events, use learning or certification features, and appear in the member directory. If your MCM membership includes NACGS access, your membership status may be tied to the same or a linked account.
Payments
Paid memberships are processed through our designated payment processor. NACGS may receive transaction confirmations, payment status, and related billing or membership information, but we do not store your full payment card number on NACGS systems.
Public profiles and community content
Information you choose to place on a public profile, member directory, blog comment, or other community area may be visible to other members or site visitors, depending on the feature and your settings. Posts and comments made within a private or member-only group are visible to participants who have access to that group. Please avoid posting information you do not want others to see or share.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including while your account or membership is active, and for any additional period needed to provide services, maintain transaction and tax records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, and enforce our agreements.
Retention periods vary by the type of information and the reason it was collected. Contact-form submissions are generally retained only as long as needed to respond to and resolve the inquiry, unless a longer period is required for legitimate business or legal reasons. When information is no longer reasonably needed, we may delete, anonymize, or securely dispose of it, subject to backup, legal, and technical limitations.
8. Data Security
We and our service providers use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. These safeguards may include access controls and encryption in transit where supported by the platform and service providers we use.
No method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for notifying us if you believe your account has been compromised.
9. Your Privacy Rights and Choices
Subject to applicable law and reasonable verification, you may be able to:
-
Access, correct, or update account and profile information through your account settings.
-
Request access to or a copy of personal information we maintain about you.
-
Request correction of inaccurate personal information.

Request deletion of personal information, subject to legal, contractual, security, and recordkeeping exceptions.

-
Opt out of certain targeted advertising, sale, or sharing of personal information where required by applicable state law.
Residents of certain U.S. states may have additional privacy rights under applicable state law. Where required, these may include the right to opt out of targeted advertising, the sale or sharing of personal information, or certain profiling; the right to use an authorized agent; and the right to appeal a denial of a privacy request. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

We may need to verify your identity or authority before fulfilling certain requests. If applicable law provides a right to appeal a denied request, you may submit an appeal to the same email address with "Privacy Appeal" in the subject line.
California privacy notice
If and to the extent the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), applies to NACGS, California residents may have rights to know, access, correct, and delete personal information, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information for money. Advertising technologies may constitute "sharing" under California law when they are used for cross-context behavioral advertising. Where required, we will provide a method to exercise applicable opt-out rights and will honor legally recognized opt-out preference signals such as GPC.
10. International Visitors
NACGS and Cruise Lot LLC are based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Privacy laws in those countries may differ from the laws where you live. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, we and our service providers will use legally recognized transfer mechanisms or other appropriate safeguards.
If privacy laws in your country or region grant you rights beyond those described above, you may contact us to exercise those rights. If the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), UK GDPR, or a similar law applies to our processing, our legal bases may include performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, and consent where required. Applicable rights may include access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, objection, withdrawal of consent, and the right to complain to a data protection authority.
11. Children's Privacy
NACGS is intended for travel industry professionals and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 through membership features, and in particular we do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13 in a manner subject to the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can review the situation and take appropriate action.
12. Third-Party Websites and Services
The NACGS site may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not operated by NACGS or Cruise Lot LLC. This Privacy Policy does not govern those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy notices of any third-party website or service you use.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, technology, business practices, or legal requirements. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of the policy. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice through the website, email, or another appropriate method.
